Minnesota Technology and Engineering Educators Association

MTEEA is the only professional organization representing the combination of technology and computer science education, engineering and Industrial Technology teachers in Minnesota. They are an affiliate organization of the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) and advocate for inclusion of technology as a Minnesota graduation outcome.  MTEEA works cooperatively with the Minnesota Department of Education to develop teachers licensure, program standards, and other matters of mutual concern.

In addition to working on behalf of Minnesota teachers, focusing on professional development, licensure, laboratory safety, curriculum resources, teacher excellence recognition, and other pertinent issues, MTEEA also sponsors student challenges and competitions.

Student Challenges and Competitions

As part of their focus, MTEEA also provides support contributions to the MN STEM Teacher Center each year and strives to integrate math and science standards/concepts into Tech Ed and Engineering courses to provide a truly integrated, real-world STEM experience for students.

The signature professional development opportunity each year is the Fall Conference in St. Cloud each September and is known as the single best place to find out what’s going on in teaching technology with presentations, demonstrations and commercial vendors.
