Minnesota Technology and Computer Science Scholarships

Beginning in fall 2024, the North Star Promise (NSP) Scholarship program will create a tuition and fee-free pathway to higher education for eligible Minnesota residents at eligible institutions as a "last-dollar" program by covering the balance of tuition and fees remaining after other scholarships, grants, stipends and tuition waivers have been applied.
Who is eligible?
Eligible students must:
Be a Minnesota resident
Have a family Adjusted Gross Income* (AGI) as reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Minnesota Dream Act Application below $80,000.
Attend a Minnesota public higher education institution or Tribal College
Not be in default on a state or federal student loan
Be enrolled taking at least one credit
Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards
Have not already earned a baccalaureate degree
Be enrolled in a program or course of study that applies to a degree, diploma, or certificate
Minnesota State Workforce Development Scholarships
$2500 Scholarships For Students in Technology and Computer Science
Eligibility
Enrolled in a high-demand occupation within an eligible program
9 credits per term; 2.0 GPA, Minnesota resident
$1,250 award per term ($7,500 maximum over three years)
Preference for students in financial need
Adult students and third-year transfer students to state university are eligible

The scholarship program offers four (4) $3,000 scholarships and eight (8) $1,000 scholarships for undergraduate, graduate, or continuing education programs in any of the following fields (applicants can apply in more than one field)

MinneAnalytics
MinneAnalytics offers scholarships to undergrad students who display a passion for pursuing a career in analytics and a commitment to engaging with the community. The number of awards has increased annually since 2015. In 2021, awards in the amount of $1000 have been issued to more than 30 students from colleges and universities across the Midwest.
Scholarships for Women Studying Information Security (SWSIS)
The SWSIS program provides scholarships of $2,000 or more for women studying for their Bachelors and Masters degrees in fields relating to information security. The purpose of these scholarships is to provide assistance to women at the formative stages of their careers in these fields.
Ralph W. Shrader Graduate Diversity Scholarship
Scholarships of $3,000 will be awarded to full-time students (women and minority students), enrolled in at least their second semester and at least two semester-equivalent courses, currently pursuing a graduate degree at any accredited academic institution in the United States and living in the United States in an eligible major that supports the mission of AFCEA Educational Foundation.
