The National Cyberwatch Center is hosting the 2024 Great Lakes Cybersecurity Capabilities and Careers Symposia at Metro State University AND Century College on Friday, October 25th, and October 26th.
This conference is for EVERYONE!
This event is going to be amazing. There are five tracks and one is also a Student Career Fair where YOU are the Vendors, and interested companies will come and ask students questions as they look to hire talent.
Five symposia provide the opportunity to learn, experience, and discuss the latest tools, techniques, and technologies for Teaching, Practicing, Demonstrating, and Showcasing Cybersecurity Capabilities.

What to Expect at the 3CS Events
Why Symposia? Symposia is the plural form of symposium. Each 3CS includes a symposium in each of the 5 areas below.
Community College Cyber Summit: Sessions focused on practice improvements in cybersecurity education.
Cyber Science and Practice Symposium: Sessions focused on evidence-based professional and educational practices – the human factors of cybersecurity.
Cyber Capability Maturity Symposium: Sessions focused on cybersecurity skill development for IT professionals through hands-on workshops in computer labs.
Cyber Technology and Careers Symposium: Exhibit hall with demonstrations of the latest advances in cybersecurity tools and a career fair – combining a job fair (employer booths) and a talent fair (job candidate booths).
Cyber Games, Simulations, and Competitions Symposium: Sessions focused on the design, development, and effectiveness of individual and team-based interactive challenges, some of which can be experienced in the Cyber Ready Arcade and Cyber Ready Gym.

A fantastic opportunity for 2-year college students to gain skills and abilities at a CCDC competition for YOU! They are trying to level the playing field.
The winners of this competition will be in the running to go to Tampa, Florida, for the National 2-Year CCDC Championship.
Besides the fantastic opportunity to get in front of a national organization, their work will significantly help you and all our colleges succeed more at the State CCDC competition.
Things to know:
Teams are comprised of up to 5 students.
You can have more than 1 team from a college, so anyone can be included. It is open to every two-year student!
You do need to register, but in the registration, there is also a possible Stipend option that they will PAY for your travel to the event!
The competition is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The National Event in Tampa will be only open to 2-year colleges, and the National Cyber Watch team will cover all costs, including flights, hotels, and food!
